Essentials: Surveys

Design, distribute, and read psychosocial surveys to understand your real risk profile.

A WHS manager in her late 30s sitting on the edge of a desk in a bright, open office, in relaxed conversation with two workers who have stopped by — one leaning against a doorframe, the other perched on a nearby chair. The conversation is informal and genuine: she is listening with full attention, one hand gesturing lightly as she responds. No laptop is open. No phone is visible. She is fully present with the people in front of her, not at a screen. The scene captures the feeling of capacity returned.

This module walks you through how psychosocial surveys work in ReFresh, from building a template to reading the results. By the end, you'll be able to design a survey, send it to the right people, and understand every part of the results dashboard.

Psychosocial surveys are different from engagement surveys. They measure where the risks to your workers' psychological health and safety sit, and how big they are. The output is evidence you can act on as part of your legal duty under work health and safety law.

What you'll learn:

  • What a psychosocial survey is and what it measures

  • How to build a custom template and create a survey

  • How to add recipients and distribute the survey

  • How to read every part of the results dashboard

  • How to track trends between surveys

Is this module for you?

If you're a WHS lead, people leader, or compliance manager responsible for understanding psychosocial risk in your organisation, this module is for you. It assumes you've completed the Get Started module and know your way around the app.

This is the core module of the Essentials course. Everything that comes after, including risk assessment, controls, and reporting, builds on the survey data you'll generate here.
